        Venugopalaswamy temple at Surapura is an ancient temple maintained well. It is on the top of a hillock in the middle of the town. Sri Vivekanada Sevashrama volunteers visited this temple during the mega free IOL eye camp conducted on 20th July 2012. It was at walkable distance from the hospital Quarters where we stayed. Surapura is like a hill station with beautiful surroundings.

Children operated at Kushtagi camp on 2 Nov. 12

        These two children were operated for mature cataract at our Kustagi Mega camp on 2 Nov. 12. There were heavy drizle throughout the two days. A small number of patients attended the camp and we could conduct 131 free IOL cataract surgeries during the camp. Though the camp was sheduled for two days for lack of patients the camp was closed afte rthe surgery on the first day itself. The rain was due to Neelam Cyclone off Chenai cost.

This is the primary Health Centre managed by Karuna Trust at Beggars colony, Bangalore. Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama conducts Free IOL Cataract Surgery for the inmates. We have conducted more than 300 free sirgeries. Recently we conducted surgery camp at Vasantaputa as part of inaguration of surgery work at our Branch. 16 inmates were operated on 4th Dec. 2011.
