She is one among many old people who attended Hanamasagara Camp in Kustagi Taluk of Koppal District, Karnataka, India. Hanamasagara is a village about 40 KM from famous Badami Caves. There is a small Srinivasa Temple on top of the hillock which is quite famous in that region. Plenty of wind mills have been erected on the hillock which generate electricity for the grid. The patient is being assessed for IOL power for choosing suitable IOL for implanting during surgery. Implanting IOL frees the patient from wearing spectacles for good vision after surgery. We insert IOL for all the patients except a few on medical grounds.
Those without IOL are provided with glasses.

Temple of Venugopalaswamy at Surapura, yadgir Dist.

        Venugopalaswamy temple at Surapura is an ancient temple maintained well. It is on the top of a hillock in the middle of the town. Sri Vivekanada Sevashrama volunteers visited this temple during the mega free IOL eye camp conducted on 20th July 2012. It was at walkable distance from the hospital Quarters where we stayed. Surapura is like a hill station with beautiful surroundings.

This is the primary Health Centre managed by Karuna Trust at Beggars colony, Bangalore. Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama conducts Free IOL Cataract Surgery for the inmates. We have conducted more than 300 free sirgeries. Recently we conducted surgery camp at Vasantaputa as part of inaguration of surgery work at our Branch. 16 inmates were operated on 4th Dec. 2011.
