Hagaribommanahalli Mega Free IOL Cataract Surgery Camp

 
 
 
 
 


A rare case when the patient cannot lay flat on the operating table. This surgery was conducted by holding the legs togerher during the surgery. Hagaribommanahalli is in Bellary district of Kanataka state, India. We conducted 508 free IOL surgeries during two day camp. Rotary club sponsored the camp and Staff of government taluk hospital assisted us in this great achievement.

This is the primary Health Centre managed by Karuna Trust at Beggars colony, Bangalore. Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama conducts Free IOL Cataract Surgery for the inmates. We have conducted more than 300 free sirgeries. Recently we conducted surgery camp at Vasantaputa as part of inaguration of surgery work at our Branch. 16 inmates were operated on 4th Dec. 2011.

Temple of Venugopalaswamy at Surapura, yadgir Dist.

        Venugopalaswamy temple at Surapura is an ancient temple maintained well. It is on the top of a hillock in the middle of the town. Sri Vivekanada Sevashrama volunteers visited this temple during the mega free IOL eye camp conducted on 20th July 2012. It was at walkable distance from the hospital Quarters where we stayed. Surapura is like a hill station with beautiful surroundings.
