Car Festival of Venkataramanaswamy at Hagaribommanahalli on 15th Feb, 2013. Sevashrama's camp was also conducted 0n 15th Feb. 13. It was over crowded. It is faith that manifests at these festivals. Hinduism is still a living religion because of these and similar festivities. Show of faith is required for people to understand religion and faith. This kind of activity will stop conversion from our religion to other religions. Perhaps this festivity must increase by leaps and bounds to engulf the whole of indian society.

This is the primary Health Centre managed by Karuna Trust at Beggars colony, Bangalore. Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama conducts Free IOL Cataract Surgery for the inmates. We have conducted more than 300 free sirgeries. Recently we conducted surgery camp at Vasantaputa as part of inaguration of surgery work at our Branch. 16 inmates were operated on 4th Dec. 2011.

Temple of Venugopalaswamy at Surapura, yadgir Dist.

        Venugopalaswamy temple at Surapura is an ancient temple maintained well. It is on the top of a hillock in the middle of the town. Sri Vivekanada Sevashrama volunteers visited this temple during the mega free IOL eye camp conducted on 20th July 2012. It was at walkable distance from the hospital Quarters where we stayed. Surapura is like a hill station with beautiful surroundings.
