Summer  children are free from school activities and are free to indulge in extra curricular activities. Normally there will be summer camps for children in cities. These camps are invariably paid camps and poor children from Govt. schools can nor afford to join, enjoy & learn. Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama under its activities wanted to conduct free summer camp for Govt. school children at PT Belagola special school. We estimated the cost of conducting the camp to be around Rs. 20,000. But the expenses far exceeded our estimate. We could manage things and make the camp a grand success. Thanks to all donors, teachers and children who participated in the camp. It was an enjoyable ten days for all the people who were involved in the camp activities.

This is the primary Health Centre managed by Karuna Trust at Beggars colony, Bangalore. Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama conducts Free IOL Cataract Surgery for the inmates. We have conducted more than 300 free sirgeries. Recently we conducted surgery camp at Vasantaputa as part of inaguration of surgery work at our Branch. 16 inmates were operated on 4th Dec. 2011.

Temple of Venugopalaswamy at Surapura, yadgir Dist.

        Venugopalaswamy temple at Surapura is an ancient temple maintained well. It is on the top of a hillock in the middle of the town. Sri Vivekanada Sevashrama volunteers visited this temple during the mega free IOL eye camp conducted on 20th July 2012. It was at walkable distance from the hospital Quarters where we stayed. Surapura is like a hill station with beautiful surroundings.
