Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama is a registered charitable trust with 80 G
income tax exemption. We have permission to collect foreign donations under
FERA.
Our achievements till date :
Our achievements till date :
1.
We
have completed an aggregate of 45,226
free IOL cataract surgeries since its inception. During the past year 2017-18, 3786
free IOL cataract surgeries were done. We intend to conduct 5000 surgeries during 2018-19

Conducted
225 eye surgeries for children (pediatric) at Mysuru. 50 more surgeries during 2018-19 are planned.

issued free spectacles for 7,500 children

Slow
learners project in four schools. We have helped more than 180 slow learners to
rejoin main stream studies.

We are
empanelled in C S R hub from Tata Institute of Social Sciences , Mumbai .
Our activities at
present :
1. Sight to the Sightless project – Our focus area for conducting
mega free IOL Cataract surgery eye camps for the deserving poor is Hyderabad Karnataka, India. Each surgery costing INR 2500, And a camp of
200 surgeries costs Rs. 5 lakhs. we seek
sponsors/donors for the project.

Vision
care for children including
surgery when required - At present, Mysuru,
Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Koppal districts of Karnataka, India are areas where
school children vision testing conducted. Spectacles are given free for
children needing glasses. Pediatric surgery costs INR 10000 per surgery and
each spectacle costs INR 400. We seek donors for these projects
3. Slow learners’ project - Helping students slow in
learning in four government primary schools in Madya district of Karnataka,
India. Intend to increase it to ten schools when funds are available. Rs. 1,00,000 per annum per school is the expenditure on
this scheme. We are taking up a project for moral & Spiritual education in
govt. high schools for character building and man making education of Swami
Vivekananda’s vision along with small libraries of moral books.
4. Book Bank for
college students At Hanumasagara, Koppal dist.
5. Livelihood project - We conduct tailoring and
computer classes at Belagola, near MYsuru.
6. Supporting Special children schools - We support two schools for
mentally and physically challenged children near Mysuru
7. Supporting old age homes around Mysuru
8. Free Summer
classes for children at PT Belagla & Hanumasagara
8. Collection and distribution of materials like Sewing machines, Computers, new & old clothes, vessels and
distribute among the needy in rural areas.
